My Mattes

I bought a few matte polishes when the trend came out, swatched them but never wore them :(

I did a matte Halloween mani last night and realized how much I like it !!!!

Here are all the matte polishes I own :

 Index : Orly : Matte Vinyl

Middle : OPI : La Paz-Itively Hot Matte

Ring : Orly : Glam Rock

Pinky : OPI : OPI Ink Suede

I guess I have a new found appreciation for them now :)

Of course there are matte top coats that turn any polish into a matte.

I used China Glaze Matte Magic

I played with the brightness a little so hopefully you can see the shinyness.

Matte over glitter is something I've seen online a lot but never did myself. I really like it.

How ever I still love shiny polish the most, it makes me feel pretty :)

Mattes become regular polishes with nothing but top coat :)

I really like matte polishes now & my favorite is black. Orly's Matte Vinyl is amazing !

Halloween : Matte, Stripes, Dots, Cracks, Glitter and Blood

Another Halloween mani for you tonight :)

What I Used :

Orly : Matte Vinyl - 2 coats

Pinky : Dots of Color Club Gingerbread and Holiday Splendor

Ring : Stripes of Orly Glam Rock

Middle : 1 coat of Claw Polish bar glitter and 2 coats of Wet'n'Wild Behind closed doors

Index : Essie Size Matters for drops of blood

Thumb : Pure Ice Crackle Crushed

China Glaze Matte Magic top coat on everything but the blood ;)

This is my first matte manicure and WOW !

I really like it !!! I'm sad I never tried it before now, but better late than never !!!

Haunted Dusk :Fail:

Last night I wanted to paint what I saw in my head onto my nails

However...

Yeah right...LOL

I was trying to make a scene out of an eerie movie, when the sky looks a bit dingy and green through the woods..

It started out alright, some sponging, a moon, some stars...

Then I wanted more in the back ground...

 So I stamped...

 Drew some trees....

 Tried to add dimension...

Then I waited over night for it to dry, and matted it out this morning....

FAIL

How did it smudge after 8+ hours of drying ????

:(

I tried being creative, from now on I'll leave it to the ladies with skills ;)

The first picture is while it was still wet and shiny.

The second shows how it dries to a suede finish.

A gorgeousss shimmering forest/emerald green.

I have some ideas for these colors, and hopefully will get around to that tonight :)
